And next up?
It is up and running, block producers elected are adding blocks at two-per-second speed. It is the fastest blockchain around. Soon several Apps will launch on the EOS blockchain. Having EOS tokens could then also get others handed out through so called Airdrops. Contributing to some of those apps could mean getting payout in some kind of token. Even playing games online. Or receive IQ tokens articles adding to Everipedia, an evolved kind of wikipedia on the EOS blockchain.
Imagine that, freedom of expression, like on Steem, added to an online encyclopedia, that could give payout in IQ tokens. Where the Crypto market can decide on the price of these tokens through trading. It looks like the free marketeers their wet dream coming alive. There are high expectations for EOS and that will also attract critics. And sceptics that already on forehand have been burning it down to the ground.
All eyes on EOS.
Things in the Free and Open Source Developement community are a bit more chill than some Bitcoin fight might have suggested. But the developement platform Github aint no Reddit, so proved Vitalik Buterin when he helped out Daniel Larimer solve an issue, pointing out to Ethereums Casper as an example. In this case it was about inter blockchain communication, making it possible to connect between Bitcoin and EOS, or Ethereum and EOS. How different from the Bitcoin_big blocks_ versus lightning network war on scaling...
Maybe smart-contract blockchains like Ethereum and EOS are the next step in the evolution of this technology? It could even be that Ethereum can solve its traffic jam challenge by using solutions created by Daniel Larimer? But in the meantime EOS will have to prove itself in an ongoing stresstest that is connected to lots of project going live on its blockchain(s). While the sceptics are ready with their verdict, already with their thumb pointing down.
Future?
If EOS proves itself to being able to handle the heat in near realtime over a longer period of time then this could increase its token price tenfolded. And the technology used could be ported over to other projects. This could be the case for Steem. And somehow I think the planned Steem Resource Credits {RC} for HardFork {20} were EOS solution inspired. Which will help improve the user experience on Steem. Where it makes it harder for SPAM farmer and bot message flooders to stress the blockchain and annoy its members.
If you see something good in a system you adapt it into your own. That is the principle. And as Bitshares and Steem are EOS relatives I do expect some aspects will be ported over from one to another. Where as instead of going at war, Bitcoin Reddit style, the developers will find each other collaborating peacefully Github style. And if EOS is going to well on the market this also will rub off on its DPOS {Delegated Proof Of Stake} family, like Bitshares and Steem.

Dat gaat mij iets te ver, hooggespannen verwachtingen dat wel, maar de aarde draait er evengoed om door, net als ik. 😁
waar koop je het best, en in welke wallet steek je het? Pffft ik zou toch wel een dagje mee willen lopen met je hoor :-)
Momenteel is de overgang van ERC-20, Ethereum, token naar EOS als token op de mainnet blockchain.
Dit gaat via het activeren van de private key. Het ERC-20 EOS token is op 2 juni vastgezet en kan op het Ethereum netwerk niet meer verplaatst worden.
Het zal dus nu via centrale en decentrale handelsbeurzen gaan. En hoewel de EOS blockchain nu zelfstandig draait is er volgens mij op dit moment nog geen 'light-wallet' beschikbaar.
Dus kom je dan uit bij een exchange die EOS aanbiedt voor koop en verkoop.
Bij CoinMarketCap punt Com geven ze ook aan dat vanwege de transitie van EOS als ERC-20 token naar hun eigen blockchain is het goed opletten welke exchanges al over zijn naar de nieuwe situatie.

Waarschijnlijk nog een weekje geduld, dan zal Shapeshift punt io het wellicht ook ondersteunen en zijn meeste exchanges ook over op de nieuwe situatie.
(Weet je dat dagje meelopen wel zeker, hahaha.)
Mijn eigen EOS tokens heb ik nog steeds vast zitten als ERC-20. Zelf wacht ik nog tot de eerste projecten live gaan.
