Report as Steem Representative, 19.08.2024

in Steem POD Teamlast month

Hello, dear readers!

I've been doing some behind the scenes work this week with the idea of organizing my Steem promotion going forward. However, I continue to be unlucky with this. Google Ads permanently blocked my account because I could not verify the activity of my company. This is understandable, because I was promoting Steem, not my company 😄. The new Google rules are incomprehensible to me, because they refuse a large part of the profit that came from individuals. Perhaps such rules apply only in Ukraine.

After blocking my Google Ads account, I contacted three Ukrainian advertising agencies regarding contextual advertising. My case for them was, let's say, non-standard. However, it seems that none of them is interested in working if the costs for one advertising campaign will be less than UAH 10,000 ($245).

So I'm a bit confused for now and I'm still looking for something I can do usefully for the blockchain. There is also an option to persistently continue to maintain Steem accounts on Instagram and Twitter (X) and over time they may reach more and more readers.

In the meantime, I took the opportunity and together with my teammates applied for a curation in September. In the absence of own resources, it is worth using other people's resources for the development of the community. 😁

I also try to keep the Ukrainian community informed of what is interestingly happening in all of Steemit. In light of the recent campaign to review votes for witnesses, I have also reviewed my votes and deleted some.

And finally, I want to draw your attention to the fact that the Ukrainian author @tinochka2 is starting her treatment course of chemotherapy today, so I urge you to support her if possible.

The rest of my activity remains unchanged and can easily be seen in my account. I'll take the liberty of not listing it again, which will shorten this report a bit. Thank you for stopping by 🙂.

Well, thank you for doing as much as you do... I'd like to think that "it all counts."

Google has always been difficult to work with, and sometimes I think the constant change of regulations and addition of new "sub projects" serves mostly to confuse people into abandoning accounts that aren't "big."

For example, I am currently battling with them because Google Domains is being discontinued, but you now have to have a "Google Workspace" account to access so you can correctly transfer them somewhere else... except you can't DO that because the domains have already been transferred to the new registrar, but you can't claim them there because you have to access a particular Google email to get a code and... blah, blah, blah...

Anyway, thanks for all your work!

Yes, I always ask myself if there is a point in what I am doing. It's hard to tell, so I rely on my own expectations 🙂.

Google has always been difficult to work with

So I'm not alone in this. I thought maybe it's just me not knowing how to work with Google. Indeed, they often change the rules. I faced this when they introduced changes in Google Adsense, then in Google Analytics, etc. Sometimes the changes are quite acceptable, but sometimes the opposite.

Anyway, thanks for all your work!

I'd love to be of service to the blockchain and see it flourish, but I can't seem to find an effective way to help 😃

This is so noble of you. Keep doing what you do best and keep inspiring newbies like myself. Weldone friend
