Gibraltar Campion

Has a scientific nameSilente Tomentosa, this species of flowers is very rare and can only be found on the high cliffs in Gibraltar. This gorgeous plant is believed to have gone extinct outside of Gibraltar in the 1980s but there are still some remaining specimens to be found. In 1994, a single specimen was discovered by an inaccessible climber, so there was still hope for the species to revive. The seeds are then distributed in the Millennium seed bank and are now grown in The Almeda Gibraltar Botanic Gardens as well as the Royal Botanic Gardens in London.
