Time Flies When You Have Many Things To Do
I lost track of time and before I knew it, it was past 12 and almost two in the afternoon. Where does time go? A lot of work in the morning to get the kids ready for school and send them. Then some light cleaning before time to do work then bring them the lunch.
Time to have my own lunch and do more work before heading out to fetch them at 4. Then it is busy till they go to sleep at 8. After that, some time to get a bit more work done. So would I prefer having my nanny back? No, not at all. There are benefits but having someone who is always sulking and can't communicate clearly is a pain, especially for the money we were paying.
So, a lot of work this period will be about winding down operations here and setting them back up in the new country. We have a month exactly to get that done and it won't be a moment too soon because my passport expires 8 days after we fly or at least it will have less than 6 months validity after that.
Why did I not renew it earlier? Because my country's passport renewals become valid for 10 years after October. Before this, they were only valid for 5 years and with the 6 months validity required, that's practically just 4.5 years. What a silly system.
