This is an outrage. I was reading about it earlier today via IT News. Seems others in the IT community are of the same mind. I agree with the commentary that this is likely the reason why Huawei was blocked from tendering for the NBN and other project due to security concerns about backdoors (despite providing source code to prove that none existed), in preference for vendors that we know (from the Snowden revelations) definitely do have backdoors.
New laws in Australia could mean your data is no longer private & end encryption. What do you think about the proposed changes?
