DISHONESTY HAS CONSEQUENCES

One pillar of truth which you will find useful in all of life’s transactions is the truth that there is no advantage in dishonesty. Whatever seems to parade itself as an advantage of dishonesty soon turns out to be short lived, they don’t last. The Bible likens them to bread of deceit which is sweet to man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. (Proverbs 20:17).
It is far from being wise to settle for what will make you smile today and leave you with many awful years of regret. The pleasure in dishonesty is only for a season, it doesn’t last. “Moses when he was come of years refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season”. Hebrews 11:24-25. The pleasure of dishonesty is just for a season, it doesn’t guarantee lasting results. If you choose to hinge on the pleasure of dishonesty, you will not go far.
Don’t be deceived, there is no good in dishonesty. There is no gain in trying to be crooked, being straight forward turns out to be the best option any day. Be straight forward in your matrimony; be straight forward with your boss and your subordinates. Let men be able to see your plea as yea and your nay as nay. If you choose to have it the other way, be prepared for a life of crisis. Your defense in dishonesty may seem so solid now; but it will disappoint you sooner or later, for Scriptures cannot be broken.

The devil is totally bad, he is the king pin of dishonesty and there is nothing good in him. Whatsoever he offers you will eventually turn out to ruin you. Whatever does not amount to eternal value has no advantage. There is nothing in dishonesty that counts for you beyond this realm.
Since it is certain that we came from God and we must return to Him; your preparation to meet Him which should be devoid of any form of dishonesty should be a priority in your life. Having renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, you must never seek to embrace them. They will not add any value to your life, rather you stand to be defaced and disgraced by them.
