How to get the boost vote from Busy - February update

in #busy7 years ago

The short answer

Post form busy.org, put the tag "busy" and hope for the best.
If you are lucky you'll get the vote from Busy.

The delay between 2 votes is 12 hours. If you didn’t got the busy vote today, you can try posting again. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I'm not an expert, I'm just a tester sharing my observations on busy.

The long answer

Since more people are posting from busy.org the boost vote is becoming harder to get.

Busy is still in beta testing, and trying to be the best alternative interface for exploring the Steem world. Fabien said Busy bots could be updated to vote based on the number of views a post has, but for now the old rules apply.

Busy is voting for people who have influence. People who are followed by more powerful people have more influence and the chance to get a bigger vote.

This task is currently accomplished by two voting bots. One is voting with the busy.org account and another one is voting with busy.pay account.

The busy.org bot

This is the first bot. It has been running since 2017. Check the bot introduction post here:
https://busy.org/@busy.org/introducing-busy-org-the-bot-that-rewards-your-influence

A few settings have changed since then. Now its voting power seems to be programmed to not go lower than ~17%, so the bot may skip a post if the bot voting power is lower.
If you would want to maximize your chance to get the vote you could try to program your post at an hour when fewer posts are made from Busy.
(If you know of a tool to see the number of posts per hour, please share it in the comments.)

The minimum power of followers (not delegated power) to get a vote from this bot has been modified many times.
Now (22 Feb 2018), the amount required to get the minimum upvote is 20 Mil. VESTS (2 Dolphins or 10 000 SP). The minimum vote (about 0.5%) value depends on the market price of Steem and today is worth about $0.30 (the value of a plate of food for a poor man).
To check your follower_mvest calculated value, find "mvest" on this page:
https://steemdb.com/api/accounts?account=username (copy the link to your browser address bar and instead of “username” enter your account user name; in that page use the browser search [Ctrl+F] to find "mvest")

Your account is eligible if this number is greater than 20000000.

Now for this bot the amount required to get 100% upvote would be 4 000 000 Mil. VESTS ~(2 000 Whales ~ 2 000 000 000 SP) but the bot doesn’t upvote more than 25%.

Sometimes the bot is sleeping. When it wakes up it may vote some posts that it missed or it may not, depending on many factors (voting power, nature of the problem, etc). To check if the busy.org bot is active go to its activity page and see if it is voting for other posts.

The busy.pay bot

This new bot was introduced on 13 Feb 2018 to vote for more influential people.
For this bot the amount required to get the minimum upvote is 1 Billion VESTS. The minimum vote value (10%) today is worth about $15 (value of one book).

The amount required to get 100% upvote would be 500 Billion VESTS.
The bot doesn’t upvote more than 25%.

The Busy bots don't upvote a user with influence beyond 10000 Billion VESTS.

I never knew it was this complicated but I hope I get a vote when I use busy!

Thank for information brother @ntony..
U're good man...
I wish u're the best.. :)

yes i agree with your observation is good and i try it also... you can also follow me if you like, check my profile ;) God bless bro.!

Thank you,i now know how busy -org works

I have always wondered how the busy.org works, but it begs the question; what of people with low steem power, whats watching their backs and helping them down the lane?

@ntony, you said "Busy is voting for people who have influence. "

Also

"People who are followed by more powerful people have more influence and the chance to get a bigger vote."

This is not good.

The people who are followed by more influential people will get upvotes by those influential people.

Just a comment.

busy.org should also have another strategy also.
@fabien your comment??

Thank you very much for this valuable informations @ntony and for your spirit of sharing

My pleasure!

I am still curious about how the busy.pay bot upvotes, i get some upvote from it but not sure how often, any idea?

Me too brother
