Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC)| S12W6- "My country; My Home."

I am a citizen of Nigeria a country located in the northern hemisphere of the world in the continent of Africa, My country has a coat of arms that completely represents what my country stands for, it has a flag with 3 vertical stripes coloured green at the end, white in the middle and green at the other end I would say my country has 2 colours(green and white). Nigeria is among one of many countries that were colonized by the Britains, we got our independence on the 1st of October 1960. This year's independence celebration was massive and colourful to the extent of being celebrated by churches around the nation, our name was coined by Lady Flora Shaw and our flag was designed by Micheal Taiwo Akunkumi, Nigeria my country has suffered so much at the hands of terrorist, diversity, religion etc but we remain strong and thankful to God.

Why do you think your country is unique? Share at least 3 points.🇳🇬

The most unique thing I found about Nigeria is the resources.

• Nigeria is blessed with natural resources as represented by the coat of arms and the flag, the country is a major exporter of petroleum within Africa and outside the continent.
• We have a rich soil, which is good for planting, Nigeria has produced many cash crops. During planting seasons 80% of families across the country plant subsistent and commercially.
• Another unique is discipline, and equality because the law is gradually getting better as no stone is left in touch, kudos to the Nigerian legal system

Would you leave your country to settle in another if an opportunity shows up? Back up your answer with reasons.🇳🇬

Travelling is part of education as the case may be, I wouldn't love to criticize my country but a lot of citizens have been leaving the country for a better greener pasture and if given the opportunity I will join them. when I say greener pasture, I mean a place where talent and intelligence are valued.

What areas of your home (country) would you love to see an improvement?🇳🇬

I need an improvement in the educational system, we are falling behind in many areas including education. Education fosters innovation, and productivity which leads to economic growth. Presently the price of the dollar compared to the Naira is too high reaching almost a thousand naira for a dollar and this has caused inflation, I want "Bad governance" to be put to an end, the level of corruption in Nigeria is very high, governors laundering money, right of citizens treated with contempt.

To bring this to revelation, it is okay to travel out of your country because, in no distant time, you can return anytime based on your vision. it is still your home, I think we should be proud of our country.
