Gratitude is a feeling that is very important in our lives in different areas and sometimes we forget the importance and power of being grateful.

The simple fact of being alive is a reason to be grateful and even more so with the pandemic situation we are currently experiencing, where more and more people stop breathing every day. We go to bed everyday and set alarms and make our plans with the total certainty that everything will go according to plan and mostly it does, but sometimes it doesn't.
I have a friend who is also my mentor in many aspects of life, he is a very wise person and he once told me that "Our success in life is directly proportional to how grateful we are" and I have the certainty that this is truth and that thought I combine with one I read in the book The Secret, “Be grateful for what you have now. As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for." - Rhonda Byrne, The Secret

Many times we say thank you to the people around us, for example, when we buy something we thank the person who attends us or when someone holds the door for us to enter the bank, we do it automatically, but there are a few times in which we feel that feeling within us, which gives us like a breath of life when that we waited so long just happens and we feel deeply grateful, for example when a relative leaves the treatment room where he or she was hospitalized for having COVID 19 and we say thanks and we breathe deep.
Many people take for granted that what they have in the different aspects of their life will be there no matter what, but the truth is that this is something really improbable, we have a house, a father, a mother, a son, a friend, a dog, a phone, a PC, anything, but things and people can stop being at any time, the important thing is to live and enjoy that or that someone we have while they are there, look around you, look who you have, look what you have and be grateful that is there and that still has many things to give you.

Let us be grateful to the people we interact with, when they give us a word, a little of their time or an object, let us be grateful on a deep and conscious level.
My recommendation and what I do, is to find things and reasons to be grateful every day and give thanks for that, if we do this we will bring a pleasant change to our lives.
