Comet is such a derp!

Now I have pictures of Nova and Comet in cast iron skillets! But the ones of Nova are a few years old.

What is it with my black cats and climbing into cast iron skillets? This has only been a thing with black cats throughout my life.

Weirdos.

Comet got into the skillet while I was making dinner on Christmas Eve. I turned around and saw this. Got a handful of other pictures, but this one is my favorite, even though it's blurry from motion. It's all about that pose.

That IS an odd trait. Love the (c)attitude in that shot, tho. Perfect!

My black cats have also had a thing for climbing into dish racks.

Just my black cats.

All other colors throughout my life haven't had any strange attraction to cast iron skillets or dish racks. Just the black cats.

Oh well. Just another thing that makes black cats unique, I guess.

Thanks! I love this picture so much.

When I turned around and saw him he quickly turned his head away as if to pretend he wasn't doing anything. I'll probably post the other pictures scattered across the next few days.

Awww!!! So adorable. Our Vicki use to love the turkey roasting pan. She camped out in it for a few weeks when we first bought it. She was so cute we put off using it. Our big old turkey.

Ah, yes, turkey roasting pans. Another thing my black cats have always had a thing for.

Tom used to plop Cosmo into a turkey roasting pan when Cosmo was a kitten. As Cosmo got older, it took more convincing. After Tom died, I've never seen Cosmo in a turkey roasting pan. It was something he only did with Tom.

The exception of Cosmo together with Tom aside, I've never had any non-black cats have a thing for turkey roasting pans.

I don't think it's necessarily a trait shared by all or most black cats, but I think it's amusing as hell that so many of mine have been that way. I was told stories of the black cat that was in my crib, I don't know about cast iron skillets, but I do know he liked the turkey roasting pan. As did the other four black cats I grew up with.

Comet is ready for some winter sledding.
:D

Sure looks like it! But the snow is mostly gone now, and there wasn't much of it in the first place.

He did get to run around outside and play in it a few times and had a lot of fun. He really loves playing in the snow.

LOL
My cat hates it and acts like its lava.
:D
I bet a lazer pointer shows up awesome on white snow.

We don't have a laser pointer at this point in time. He was just running around in the snow chasing my husband.

Comet is pretty easy to play with.

You should have taken some videos. cats rule the interwebz.
:D
