Nerd By Northwest #170 – “Troll Fight”

For those unfamiliar with it, the "Gym Friend" troll meme was one made popular in the cryptocurrency world by the meme/trolling war between Joshua Davis (aka @karbonbased) and Samson Mow (@excellion). The former posted an image of the latter's girlfriend posing in a pic with this muscular, older man (aka her "gym friend"). It was a pretty classic example of how not to respond to a troll, as Mow's responses ended up increasing his trolling adversary's popularity in the process.
Now that may lead one to wonder how the female troll in this strip can reference a meme that wasn't introduced until more than a year into the future. Well, I could say it was an oversight on my part... or maybe it's just some trolls are just so good their knowledge of troll memes transcend time and space. 😁
