We grow up and we stop wanting to know who we are because in reaching the paradigm we must conquer our algorithm. Some can be a few years long to decades in length of time. The paradigm is where we go to make happiness real. all we have to do is speed up the algorithm to cause a paradigm shift, then the terror barrier is evoked to warn us of the happiness we are about to make real.
