This looks more like a school’s assigned summer reading list than a table full of banned books.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson

And

Beyond Magenta by Susan Kuklin

All ten of these books are banned because of GSM content, or discussion about sexism and misogyny. Additionally, books which discuss the history of racism, such as Life is So Good by George Dawson, books which discuss the Holocaust like Maus, and textbooks which have an honest treatment of the role of GSM and POC in history, or which DeSantis’ Lieutenants have deemed “CRT” are frequently banned.

This is just… why?
