I always feel like Finland and Canada have a lot in common, I think I would like it there.

I think it gets colder and windier here, but I don't know, because I've never been there. I just assume shit because the weather here gets nasty in winter but every now and again we have these calm days that remind me of pictures of northern Europe.

We have hockey in common. The junior tournament starts tomorrow. Finland usually has a good team, but so quiet on the ice, whereas Canadians are loud and rowdy.

Well it depends on the day and where you are, but Finland is flatter and maybe a bit milder I would think. It does get nasty in here too, but most of the time it’s just a matter of dressing accordingly and you’ll be fine.

Canadians loud and rowdy, wouldn’t have guessed that! Are you planning on going to any games?

Does it go down to -40 there? That's what we get in the flatlands here. Almost like living in the arctic. I'm near the middle of the country. To the east and west is usually a lot nicer in winter. Summers here are superior.

I won't be attending, just watching. Canada is the host country, but the games are played thousands of kilometers away on the west coast this year. ... I love hockey.

I'm in the middle of Finland and I think on some rare occasion it goes down to -40 up in the north. But for us here, a good winter weather is something around -20.

I used to watch hockey but not so much anymore, get's boring after a while.

-20 is nice. It's about that here, now. My feet are frozen though. Just did some drunken pond hockey for the past while. That got boring... we lost the puck.

We have a very mild -1 today, but I’m hoping for more -20 so the lake I live by freezes properly. It has a 1,5 kilometre icescating route every winter and I like to scate, sans puck and hockey stick.

Poor boy, you need a puck and a pair of wool socks.
