Camping in Jemez Mountains
It is the beginning of March so most the forest camp grounds are closed but you still have some great choices when it comes to the Jemez Mountains just outside Jemez Springs. But first a friendly WARNING.... Please watch your speed and some of the locals may not like the campers do to a forest fire there. Now let's get to it.
Jemez Springs Town by itself is a rustic little town with about 200 people but the surrounding mountains and camp grounds can give you some spiracular views.
Please keep in mind that you are not out their alone so be aware of how you keep your camp.
In closing I want to point out a few day parks if you just want to take a stroll along a clean stream with colorful views.
