I'm glad the price of steem is down.

Why am I ok with it?

Is it because I'm crazy?

Maybe.

But I like crazy, so if you're thinking that right now...

I'm really excited because honestly, Steem is on sale!!!!

Seriously you guys. When I did my first post in February Steem was between $3-4. I can literally get quadruple or triple the amount of Steem now as I could then!

Good. Now's a great time to get more visibility on your own posts, then! There's always a silver lining. Not only that, now's the time you can see who's going to be around for awhile. It's a great time to build communities with the people toughing it out and support each other.

That's really the way to grow on Steemit. And sure, growth will be slow.

But isn't that how it is with anything worth growing? You plant a seed. You water it every day. It looks like nothing is freaking happening, but you water it day after day because you're delusional enough to believe that eventually, something will pop out of the ground.

And then it does!

That's how I think about steemit. Slow growth, but worth it in the end.

The only thing that grows overnight is weeds!!! And ain't nobody want that.

I'm going to compare this to weeds again. Not to be confused with weed. Although that would be a good analogy, too.

I'm here for the long haul. The reason I don't feel freaked out by the price being down for weeks is because I'm focused on the bigger picture.

I'm focused on 5 years from now.

5 years from now, will I thank myself for things I did today?? Will what I do every day make me a better person 5 years from now? Will it put me towards my goals?

I think 5 years from now, I'll be very happy that I posted every day on Steemit and that I cultivated relationships here. I'll be happy that I took the time every day to water the seeds and slowly grow.

If I'm focused on 5 years from now, everything else is a blur. I can only see and think about what I'm focused on. I'm focused on a better future. The low prices right now don't freak me out. They're a blur to me. They're not even much of a thought in my mind (until I see other people commenting/ worrying about it).

I've invested time and money in Steem and I know that eventually, the price of Steem will go up. Crypto markets, in general, are still new. There isn't mass adoption yet. Which means we're in for a roller coaster ride for a while.

It's what we signed up for! So don't be surprised or scared.

When you go to an amusement park, you're not surprised when you're on a roller coaster, are you?

You're not surprised when the roller coaster goes down, are you?!

Because you willingly got on it. And you know that's just what roller coasters do. That's how they work.

Well, it's the same with crypto markets. You invest and you step on the roller coaster. It is what it is.

Be happy and stuff. Roller coasters are fun.

At the end of the roller coaster ride, you're always safe and okay. And we'll be okay, too. Steem will be okay. Steemit will be okay.

That said, time to go buy a little more Steem!
