Millennials often complain about lack of opportunities in the working world, or life in general. Even when a person has an average job, he/she is more likely to feel they deserve better. While this is human nature, we seldom consider what would happen if we changed our attitude. What would happen if we embraced whatever position we currently hold, and surpassed the standards and expectations in place?
This approach would make us valuable as we would be seen as someone who - whatever the position or task - does their utmost and with integrity. How can you do this? By putting your heart, time and energy into learning everything there is to know about the position, the task or project. When you can do something better than anyone else, you will not only become an asset, but you will attract the kind of opportunities you truly desire. Today's nugget of wisdom is a great reminder of that. It reminds us that we should not save our best efforts and work for a distant opportunity, but by owning our current positions as everything we do should be a testimony to our work ethics, integrity and passion.
