A Memoir

Many people believe that in order to find their TrueLove they must suffer first, make many efforts, go through numerous experiences to fix their karma, learn from past failed relationships and so on. Our mind works all the time to put new challenges in front of us, more tormenting than their predecessors, so once we finally go through them we will feel better about ourselves and more worthy of receiving True Love. Some people deliberately choose a bad relationship only to prove to themselves that love is difficult and unattainable. Only after they have suffered, they understand that their life could look totally different if only they had changed their limiting beliefs. Eventually, it is common to hear from such people a statement of great relief with wonder:

“Oh, my God, why have I made my life so difficult ?!”

The truth, and I am repeating it once more, is that spiritual growth does not need to be accompanied by suffering and pain. You do not need to endure mental tortures or bear physical illnesses to be worthy to receive life’s gifts. TrueLove can come to you with ease and grace if only you choose so.

Another common belief that many hold is called the “savior”. Those who hold that belief think that one day someone will come and save them; that a prince-charming or a knight on a white horse will knock on their door and will say:

“my beautiful dearest, I have come from distant and faraway countries to carry you in my strong arms to my glorious palace where we are destined to live happily ever after”.

They think and believe that one day a mystic power will appear in their lives to save them from all their daily miseries, from boredom and depression, from their annoying relatives and piteous friends and mostly from their status as hopeless victims in a cruel world.

Such a thing will never happen. The belief in a mighty savior is perhaps one of the greatest illusions that humanity has given to itself. Not that it was wrong. That belief gave hope to billions of souls in times of despair and agony but now it is high time humanity recognized a grander truth.

Everything begins with you. You are your own angelic savior and it is you who must begin taking the first steps by altering your thoughts, by changing your beliefs and by using all the tools that I broadly elaborate about.

Princes-charming and the beautiful brides will indeed show in your life but such a reunion will become possible not before you take full responsibility for your life. Not a single second before.
