Hi, all!

Here is my entry #3, and last, to the B&W Photo Contest by @daveks.

The theme for this week is Industrial Photography.
Definition: Machinery, infrastructure, manufacturing, tools, public works, and heavy vehicles.

I've captured this scene behind of the Water Castle, in Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. This man worked for a familiar factory and was manufacturing, with his tool, also a manufactured hammer and a nail, a leather traditional Indonesian strings puppet. I took this photo a couple of years ago but is still one of my favorites, and I wanted to show you how simple gestures of a whole life can produce such wonderful pieces of art.

Taken with my Canon 5D MkIII and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM Lens. Edited with Lightroom.
Settings: Shutter speed 1/1200 at f/4.5, 70mm, ISO 200.

          I really like the way the black and white really works well for this simple, yet very moving picture.

          It is just a movement as he is working, yet, it speaks of hard work and you can see the intensity just by his gestures. A wonderful shot and good luck in the contest!
