Le botteghe.
We talked about beloved places, unlike the last post where I talked about a beloved bar, I now review a beloved place, in Livorno city, where I left my heart for about two years and where I often go back to good weather. In Livorno there are many canals and restaurants on them, the most beautiful for me is the Botteghe because you can eat directly on the canal, located in the old Venice, a neighborhood called so because it looks like a miniature Venice.
The restaurant is nicely furnished with wooden tables and an interior area entirely in wood and maritime decorations, to appeal to the seaside town. The owner and the waiters are kind and formal, when you enter here they immediately take care to know if you have preferences, needs or allergies.
Being Livorno seaside city the dishes of almost all restaurants are based on fish and this is no exception.
Many dishes are based on tuna, shrimp, mixed fries, salmon, various types of fish and for the most demanding lobster.

The dishes as you can see are fine, the prices are high but not very high as they are fresh and carefully cooked. It's not a place to go every day, but we, my boyfriend and I sometimes give it to ourselves if we come from Livorno, since we don't go there every day in this city, we never go there in winter, only in spring or summer. The place is very beautiful and it is fun to eat on the canals because it rocks a little and you can breathe the salty air. There are many tourists who eat here in the summer.
Such a lovely and cute place, a place where you must eat if you visit Livorno.

Looks and sounds like an amazing dining experience. Well worth the cost and the views of the canal are very nice!
I agree many say that is not a cheap restaurant but I think the high prices are normal if you eat fresh fish and have a special view.

Wow! Seafood that looks soo delicious from the way it is presented. You guys are so lucky that the canals there are clean. It's a whole different story here in the PHilippines haha. Thanks for sharing this with us
Yes here are usually quite clean especially in some cities, not in all unfortunately. Here too we have some little cities not so clean, with dirty canals, this is a shame because I think canals are really cool and romantic 😍
