Hi everyone! I always knew very short stories were difficult to write, but 199 words? That is pure evil! You can never say everything you want to say. Anyways, Stach is the boss, and they said 199 words so here it is. Theme is Live Free. You all should try too.

Obinna was pacing in the hospital hallway as Ije screamed in the theatre. She was going to deliver a son; a child he did not plan for. Months ago, he had watched Ije cry over a man who had broken her heart and he had offered her a shoulder. She had offered him her bed in return. While his wife and two daughters slept that night, he had the time of his life. It never happened again, but once was all it took.

For months, he had hidden Ije's pregnancy from his equally pregnant wife. He knew his marriage would be over if the story came to light. He also knew he could not hide Ije forever. Still, he kept it a secret. His wife father was still his boss, and he was not ready to be jobless.

The doctor walked up to him with smiles and congratulated him on his new baby. Instead of replying accordingly, he requested for a paternity test. It had not occurred to him until that moment.

The result showed in no time and he was not the father. Only then did he jump for joy. He fled the hospital. Finally, he was free.
