Mini Forest - Goldenhourphotography Contest Entry

Some say sunset pictures are boring.
While I can understand you could consider them a sort of photography cliche, I disagree with the statement of being boring.

First of all, sunset are never boring to me. Nor sunrises, although I experience them less frequently for obvious reasons…
I just love the play of colours while the Sun is low on the horizon. Since I live close to the sea, often there are very interesting reflections in relation between the sky and the water… It’s a never ending inspiration for admiration towards nature’s beauty…

But also, you have various possibilities for taking advantage of the warm light displayed at the golden hour.
This picture for example is not showing the sunset directly, but it is quite obvious what is actually going on here.

It was a decision I made while taking a shot of the landscape lit by the sunset. Ironically, I did this because maybe just for a second there I thought that taking another sunset shot might be a cliche :) :)

Nevertheless, I think it turned out quite nice.
