THE DIARY GAME : 9TH DECEMBER, 2021 : SHOPPING FOR SOME AFRICAN FOOTWEAR FOR MY FRIEND KWOFI CHARLES

Greetings everyone,

I was in town today in search for some african footwear for a friend of mine who was going to travel to Accra the next day for a funeral. Usually, on such ocassions, you have o put on a certain type of apparel to show some sympathy for the lost beloved.

Since he was living in Accra, he could not have the time to go to the market and get this type of footwear in the given time frame. I had bought myself a pair of this type of footwear from a shoemaker at Dichemso so I showed it to him and he liked it so I knew the type to look for.

I set out to Dichemso in a Bolt which took us about 30 minutes to arrive at the shop.

Upon arrival, I went straight to the shop to talk to the shoemaker in order to find out whether or not a similar slipper type was available.

Unfortunately, the exact same pair wasn’t available but he was more than happy to show me other slipper types he had made and put them for display.

I was very impressed by the type of footwear he had made himself but since it wasn’t my decision to make, I had to consult with my friend once again.

He showed me his preferred footwear which I thought was a great choice. I therefore showed the man to pick that one for us.

Once he was done picking up the footwear, he packaged it nicely for me and then I was on my way back home.

I would be delivering this footwear to my friend very soon and I hope they’re perfect for the occasion.
