THE DIARY GAME : 18/12/2020 : IT WAS STILL A GREAT DAY
Greetings everyone and welcome back to my diary,
Today I left the house with @nas-gh around 9 a.m in order to arrive at the Sapphire Gardens very early. He had also made it a point to attend since I was constantly telling him about the new things he would learn should he decide to do so. However, the traffic was quite heavy along the way which made us delay more than expected. For the road to Kejetia, a vehicle that was transporting logs had broke down along the way causing a huge traffic which kept us stationary for quite a while.

We finally managed to evade traffic and arrived at Kejetia.

Once we alighted, we took a taxi in front of the plaza house at the Kejetia-Adum junction which was heading towards Atasomanso. It was my first time going to the Sapphire Gardens so I had to make the driver aware in order for him not to pass the place. Once we reached, I was a notice on the entrance of the place saying "Sapphire Gardens", a clear indication that we had arrived at our destination.

The place was really beautiful as it had been carefully thought out and nicely designed for the purposes of weddings, gatherings and social events.

We then walked towards the conference room we were going to hold this meetup and interacted with our various steemians as they arrived.
It was truly a great pleasure to meet our steemians who were kind enough to share their experiences with us. Our newcomers who were present were excited to have been invited to this occasion and were more excited to join us here on steem.

After several topics were discussed including an introductory session, the steemit ecosystem, cryptocurrency and blockchain, as well as a question and answer session, we enjoyed our meal and interacted with one another.
After we were done with our meetup, @anaman and @yawgh offered to give us a ride to Suame roundabout where it would be so much easier for us to get a car home. He was truly instrumental in the success of this meetup as he covered our t-shirt costs, gave us a beautiful presentation about cryptocurrency as well us offer us a ride.

After we alighted at the suame roundabout, we stood by the roadside hoping to get a Buoho car home. We stood for several minutes and noticed that no car was coming. As such, we decided to keep walking whilst looking for one.
We walked from Suame to Maakro (the next town) but still couldn't find one. And judging by the number of people by the roadside waiting for a vehicle, all hell would break lose once a car/van is spotted. We therefore decided to carry on towards the next town, Kronum.
Still there was no luck. It was then that I phoned my dad to see if he could pick us up. He then told us about the articulated truck that had fallen inside the main road. Luckily the driver survived but since they were a group of articulated trucks travelling towards the same destination, the one in front had blocked the path of the other once causing them to further block the road for all cars.

We arrived at home by 9:00 p.m and laid down for a while in order to rest and release the tension in our legs.
Although we had to walk this distance back home, we were still very excited to have been part of this event and have started making phone conversations with those who could not make it to this event. Most of them were amazed and have now seen the great potential our community has shown. We can expect more active steemians from us very soon.

That’s true it was truly a great day. I enjoyed by self very well but the traffic was too much at suame
