ACTIVITIES AS A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE WITHIN THE WEEK (15/04 - 22/04)
Greetings steemit team,
I would like to present my weekly report on the activities I did as the country representative of Ghana. Working hand in hand with my colleague rep to help the growth of our ghanaian community is my top priority on steemit is something I hold in high esteem on the platform. By doing so we are able to increase activeness as well as improve retention within our community.
This Week's Activities
I have been spending lots of time trying to provide a good amount of guidance and various contests to our Ghanaian steemians. This way, we can get a good number of steemians abiding by our community norms and boost our activeness as well.
ORGANIZED TELEGRAM MEETING ON ACCOUNT SECURITY
I had received information that some of our steemians have had their accounts compromised whom I helped to successfully recover their accounts. But something had to be done to prevent subsequent hacking events from repeating itself. Thus, I called for this telegram meeting to educate our steemians on how to keep their accounts secure at all times.

ENCOURAGING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
With our guest post initiative, we welcome post ideas from all of our members. Even if our members only present an idea and it is published by us, we recognize their efforts at the bottom of the post. This time around, we wanted to boost the community engagement so I warmly received a version of this article, which was polished and posted.

POWER UPS
All my earnings are converted to steem upon payout and then powered up. This way, I am able to build my account and better support our steemians in order to boost community retention. The ultimate target is club100 for me but due to the contests that I used to reward through my personal account, I haven't been able to achieve this feat just yet. Hopefully, I will be getting there soon.

COMMUNITY CONTEST
Each week, we organize a weekly contest to help boost engagement within our community. This way, members have at least one major topic to look forward to, to help them produce quality content. This week, I would like for us to look at the possibility of accepting steem as a legal tender in this country. It is a creative contest that is bound to bring out some creative write ups amongst members.
PERSONAL CURATION ACTIVITIES
I make a point on a regular basis to visit various posts trooping in from our steemians. After which I cast a vote and leave a comment or feedback. These curation activities are usually centered on communities with significant ghanaian population or where our steemians are concentrated so that no one gets left out. Newcomers are also being guided to be able to complete their achievement tasks for a better understanding of the platform.
The summary of my curation work can be seen below.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES
The security and safety of every one of our steemians is very paramount which is why I am putting in measures to ensure that everyone knows how to safeguard their accounts in order to ensure that no one takes advantage of them.
Also, we keep working with our steemians on our telegram and WhatsApp pages so that whenever they face difficulties on the platform, they can readily come to us with such challenges.
I will always give my best to support our members on the steemit ecosystem and would be working with my fellow country rep to better improve our community.
Many thanks to my fellow country rep nattybongo for his efforts in supporting our steemians on the platform.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
@njaywan

learning about account security is very important, I am very inspired by those of you who work hard to build a community that comes from your country, by doing power ups regularly it's a very good job to grow bigger here, inviting everyone to make quality posts and following those rules is also a very good way to produce high quality posts.
