MY CLIENT ASKED ME TO USE HER MAKEUP!!!

HOW I COPED WITH UNFAMILIAR MAKEUP KIT

My client Sonal has one specific request. To only use her makeup and brushes. Her reasons...reactions. She was worried about cross contamination and the hygiene of my makeup kit despite my reassurances, she would prefer her own makeup kit. She has hypersensitive skin and a recent flare up. Sonal wanted to be on the safe side.​

My concern was that as an artist, i'm familiar with all my colours and formulations. I know how they will perform. An unfamiliar eyeshadow for example, may seem like a pink but turn out to be a duo chrome with green and i'll be in a spot of bother...or an unknown foundation not blending the way I want......​

....I need not have worried. Her kit was any youtube makeup viewer's dream come true. I had to snapchat from her room! From EVERY Anastasia palette of blush, eyeshadows and highlighter to Jacilyn's Hill's latest palette. I was in heaven. Having not used these brands before I was able to play with Nar's Foundation which applied a dream, I loved all the ABH and the Jacilyn Hill palette and the STILA Eye product I used...OH MY GOD!!! I ended up coming home and spending a fortune on the Stila website.

​So that's another achievement under my belt. I can happily use another person's kit and create a job both client and I are happy with...oh and you know what Sonal said to me "I can see you are so clean with the way you work, I'll be happy to use your kit next time" uh, after seeing yours.. I don't think so hahahah!
