Hello diary,

Every day is a promising day to be hopeful, strengthened, and energized to keep pushing. Giving up is never an option in this race of life. That is why one has to be grateful to God for life in all things.

When my alarm rang in the early hours of the morning, I jumped up, thinking the day was so bright, but it was just 12 a.m. I said my prayers and went back to sleep afterwards.

The next time my alarm rang was at 5 a.m., and this time I was ready to begin my day. I committed the day to the hands of God and went off to brush my teeth and take a bath.

I didn't have breakfast because I was fasting, so I dressed up and left the house. I had planned to

• See a friend
• Use the POS machine
• Go to the local market.
• Get some items from the store.
• And cook.

I went to see a friend who promised to get some items for me from a vendor, but when I got there, she was not around. I was told she traveled and was supposed to return the next day. I had to leave her house to attend to other things on my list.

Before entering the market, I stopped by a POS service to withdraw some cash for my purchase. Thank God he didn't have customers when I arrived. He attended to me very quickly, and I went ahead to check for the things I needed to buy.

I worked around looking for my customer, but it's so unfortunate he didn't come to the market, and so I had no other option than to buy from somewhere else. I met a young man selling potatoes, and when I moved closer, it was another person I bought potatoes from.

I was weak when he sold me one thousand Naira. The quantity was looking like that of five hundred naira. When I asked what happened, he smiled and asked if I was in this country or maybe I just got back. I asked him to add more for me so that I could eat at least twice.

On leaving that spot, I landed at the place the place where some spices and herbs are sold. I love these natural spices more than the extracted ones. These give the food a very special taste and flavor, and that is the magic and beauty in every food.

I bought some that I needed, but I noticed one that was new to the market and asked for the name, but even the seller does not know the name of what he's selling, and I was shocked. I only respected myself, bought the ones I knew, and left.

Well, my shopping at the local market ended. I went to the stores to purchase other items that I needed. This store is usually flooded with people, but today, there were just a few people waiting to be attended to, and I hurriedly picked up the items I needed and joined the queue.

Since it was just a few items, I didn't have to waste so much time. This is the first store that I've seen that sells customers's bags. Like, you need to buy the paper bag after shopping. The first day I bought it was the last time I ever did. I always come with my bag for shopping.

I guess I'm done with buying items. All these movements took me hours, and I returned home by 5 p.m. I rested for a while before I started cooking. Do you know what I had in mind to cook? Let's find out together.

So after resting, I went to the kitchen and started the cooking process. I peeled my potatoes, washed my veggies, and got other items ready.

So I dished a portion and had it for dinner. I freshened up and took my phone to respond to some messages. After that, I watched some movies and slept off.
