My first Steemit post / Introduction

Hello,

My name is Nils, I'm a Belgian musician / photographer who decided to try out Steemit. I have an interest for cryptocurrencies as well which was how I found out about this community. I decided as an intro to share one of the pictures I took a few weeks back when I was on holiday in Bali. I had been wandering around the beach for a few hours looking for the perfect picture. I took lots of shots that day but none seemed to have that special element to it. So after a couple of hours and with the sunlight slowly fading I decided to head back, but not really happy with the pics I took. It was on that moment, as I was wandering through this alley that I saw these red and blue colors in the corner of my eye. I saw it was coming through a little gate which led to a front yard. By this time twilight was already kicking in and the man you see in the picture came into my shot, dressed in his sarong, which is the traditonal garment worn in Indonesia. He must have been doing a daily ritual. It all felt very electric and mysterious. There seemed to be this kind of feeling in the air that for a moment there, the universe was on pause and everything seemed perfectly in balance and at peace. I decided to grasp the moment and I'm still very happy I did.
