JSS pictures: more mesembs
The show mesembs are always in the front of the hall, near the glass doors so I got the best pictures in the natural light. And because I'm biased. Mesembs are my "please don't die plants" They are such soft-bodied plants, they rot extremely easily. Their delicacy is in contrast to the semi-desert conditions they are adapted to live in and while most desert plants are either spiny or poisonous, mesembs are masters of camouflage and adapted to collect and store any available water.
More lithops:
Conophytums
I think this is Conophytum bilobum
I'm not sure what this Cono is
Finally, some odd specimens
Phyllobolus digitatus or, Finger and thumb
The Mesembs you see on shows are usually all the difficult to keep alive types, especially the types below. Most of them only flower or grow in the cooler months of the year and go into hibernation during the hottest months.
Great photos!
The exhibition is great! There are a variety of plants.
I really liked Conophytum truncata, the impression is that it shows us its language :-)))
They are soo cute looking....:-)
Irresistible!
I didn't know there is so much variety in succulents. So cute they are ❤️ I've some in my area, but not the ones you've shared. Out of all, my favourites are Lithops otzeniana and Conophytum truncata.

Please show us plants from your area!
These are some that I've found near my house -

Those are sedums and kalanchoe. The colours are beautiful
They are so odd and beautiful and almost otherworldly. And yes, it's interesting how they are so "soft" and survive in such harsh spots, otherwise...
=^..^=
Yes indeed
I guess they must be good at timing the water so the plants appear for a show.
Not really, most of these plants bloom in response to temperature and light fluctuations
These plants are miracles. You can watch them endlessly.
You see :)
Very funny looking plants! Seem too wise for its size!

They are reminiscent of hooves. The phoenix botanical garden has a full exhibit of these types of plants. At first glance many look like rocks in the sand.

Yes, they are actually called hooves in another language
