ROCK CALENDAR: November 20, 1947-American guitarist Joe Walsh was born

Joe was a member of three commercially successful bands: James Gang, Barnstorm and Eagles. He also gained fame as a solo artist and prolific session rock musician. He is ranked 54th in Rolling Stone magazine's " 100 greatest guitarists of all time."

As a child, Joe studied the oboe and clarinet instruments, it would seem, far from the Madding energy rock-n-roll. But in high school he became interested in rock and switched to bass guitar, performing in teenage groups. Having entered the University of Kent in 1965, Walsh has already as a guitarist joined the local team the MEASURES, which performed until 1969.

In 1974, he was invited to join the famous group Eagles and the first recorded album with him was thus an epoch-making "Hotel California". Then Joe worked as a solo artist, performed in different groups. In the late 80s, his music was tired, and he took to drink (whether music Russian invented, that there was a reason to drink, then you have Joe Walsh in the race was ours). But in the early 90's, he managed to tie and entered into a fun group for such old men - the group "all stars", which gathered Ringo Starr to accompany himself, beloved, on tour.

Well, then he hung out with many famous musicians, helping them to record albums, actively performs now.
