In the shadow of the moon.
This first picture is just a stock google image, the rest are all my own. Taken today from my backyard in San Diego, far from the center but we still got a good view here in southern California. These shots were taken by hand through a cheep welding mask on my Nikon L610. One of these days I'll be able to upgrade.
It took a while to find the setting that worked through my janky set up here, but I eventually got some good ones.
After about a hundred test shots they finally started looking better, trying to get them centered one handed was another issue.
Not too bad for a glorified point and shoot camera, if I would have used the tripod they probably would have turned out better but I couldn't find it in time. hope you enjoyed the pics. please follow and upvote, ill do the same.

You are very lucky to have to got to watch this as it has been possible after 99 years to see this from US.
The next possible solar eclipse that can be seen from India will occur after 17 years :(
It was awesime to witness. Next time i want to be in the area of totality, i hear ill get another chance soon .
