I’m happy to be in this challenge and I hope to improve as a writer and maybe become a genuine poet in the process.
Please enjoy my first entry.

One Sided Affair

I drop everything I do for you
For what little time you have to spare
You mean more to me than you know
So why have you got me in despair?

You swear she’s your ex , just a little insane
She can’t lose you, she’s suicidal
She’s dying from cancer or something worse
If you leave her, it’ll be in a hearse

You say you’re sorry, every other day
For your sins why should I pay?
You kick me out, because she’s on her way
I can’t believe you, I don’t know what to say

So my love, what should I do?
My hearts been broken by all and now you
Are teetering on the edge of my set boundary
You’ve made me a walking, living, parady.
