Hold on to your Money!! Now is not the right time!
Looking to buy an expensive new smartphone in the coming months? What if I told you you'd be falling for a trap?
I am NOT Joking!
2017 has been a great year for innovation! We've seen the rise of Bezel-less screens like the ones on the Galaxy S8/S8+ and the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 a.k.a Anniversary Edition. But as with every technological advancement, it takes time to refine and make it flawless. You might think that "THIS IS IT! It can't get better than this." I'm sorry but you could be any more further away from the reality. Things can get much much better. Let me tell you this, companies have cut corners to deliver such futuristic looking products.
The feature most affected is the fingerprint sensor. Now until any other bio-metric security method is 100% functional, this is by far one of the most important things on a modern-day smartphone. Yet, companies are promoting the other incomplete solutions in their products.
Samsung's latest pair of offerings have the fingerprint sensor placed in, by far, the most awkward place ever imagined, right NEXT to the camera sensor, and many users have reported that this has often led to smudging of the camera lens. To counter this, the company has been boasting about the IRIS scanner that the phones are equipped with. In a way, Samsung is pushing it's customers to ditch the fingerprint sensor and trying hard to make them ignore this HORRENDOUS design flaw.
Moving on to Apple. The IPhone 8 is undoubtedly the most anticipated gadget of the year. There were rumors in the beginning of the year that Apple would make an all-screen phone with TouchID built right into the display. Days, weeks, months passed and now there is still a cloud of uncertainty over the placement of the fingerprint scanner, solely due to the fact that Apple failed to embed it inside the display tech. So they are evaluating other plausible options; in the power button like Sony's phones or on the back like the Google Pixel.
Now coming to the crux of the matter, many companies have been working on the concept of embedded fingerprint sensors and it's very much GUARANTEED that all top-tier phones in the first three months of 2018 or later, will have this technology at their disposal! How does that matter to you?
- Wouldn't you like it if you could take out your phone in heavy rains and just TAP on the screen to unlock it?
- Imagine trying to read a recipe with your oven mitts on. Now what if you could unlock that screen to get to the instructions, all with the mitts still ON!!?
- So you forget to turn off the ringer while you're at the movies, and now you've got oily hands thanks to the big bowl of fries. What if you could unlock your phone and turn down the volume without needing a tissue?
These are just some of the instances!
Here's five more reasons why now is not the right time to buy a phone:
I hope whatever decision you take is after careful thought, because this is your hard earned dough we're talking about!
You're better off investing it in Bitcoin, or other currencies. And then maybe you'll make enough profits that your next phone will prove to be worth the wait!
Cheers!
