Born on a Saturday in Las Vegas

I was blessed to be able to attend the Steem Creators Conference in Las Vegas. Part of my motivation for going was to pitch my startup, @popschools at the pitch party. After talking to some of the creators there I decided to launch a graphic design company at the conference. The name of my new company was #IsliDesigns, named after the loves of my life Lia and Isaiah.

Oops, I over promised

I promised design work with 24-48 hour turnaround. The problem is this is not possible. I am still launching my startup (headed to another convention tomorrow), working on existing projects, and being a single, unschooling parent. I'm at capacity.

As a startup founder, I strive to underpromise and over-deliver. I take pride in the quality of work I do and I want to give each client the attention they deserve. I just can't deliver what I said I would and still be able to keep up with my other responsibilities.

Correcting the path

I'm not taking any more work for IsliDesigns until I have an ordering system set up. I need to take the time to organize my company in a way that I can control the amount of time I give to it. This is the worst possible time to start a new venture for me because I'm on the cusp of new beginnings with my existing projects.

I hope you all understand that I am flawed and busy. IsliDesigns is now suspended until further notice.

The conference was awesome

I want to thank all of the Steemians I met and talked to last weekend. I appreciate the encouragement and support you gave me. I came out of nowhere and I still felt embraced by this community.
