Polarization
I'm fucking tired of all these snowflakes constantly bitching and moaning every time someone disagrees with them. You get snowflakes from every side but they are all universally fucking annoying.
On the left you get the classic SJWs who always piss and moan over the most mundane bullshit and totally fabricated problems. If you even remotely disagree with a word they say then you are the ultimate Nazi-Fascist, white nationalist monster ever to roam the Earth. And it's never about anything that would actually give you that title like civil rights for people of all classes, races, sex, etc. It's always bullshit like "I support free speech" or "I think there are only two genders" or "I don't believe race has factored into my success in life to any significant factor".
Then you have these fuckheads on the right who do the same shit but for a different side. Ever been called a communist? Or a libtard? The right in the US loves to do this shit just as much as the left. If you even mention universal healthcare, decreasing our military budget or passing gun control regulations, then OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU EVIL COMMIE SNOWFLAKE FAGGOT! IF YOU DON'T LIKE AMERICA THEN GET THE FUCK OUT #MAGA #BUILDDAWALL #TRUMP2020
We have seen countless videos and articles online of people pushing those ideas but are they really that prevalent among the masses? The answer, at least to my very subjective experience, is yes. Not always in the same extremely fanatical style that gets the most clicks, but certainly among people's core beliefs. It's not hard to run into these idiots who seek to shut down all conversation and polarize the masses until everything is black and white. I know I have run into my fair share of them on and off the internet.
So what can we do to stop the polarization of society? What can we do to take back the spotlight and shine it into the corner of rational people willing to have a conversation. To get people willing to accept new data and ideas, if not then entertain them as possibilities and express their own as possible alternatives based on other data and ideas?
As far as I am concerned, the only way is for more rational, cool headed, non-snowflakey people who are willing to LISTEN to participate in the discussion. Both online and in real life. In the 2016 primaries, the vast majority of people did not want Hillary or Trump. Yet, that's what we got. And when reviewing the data, the younger crowds, whom overwhelmingly would have chosen other candidates, did not show up to the poles. Then, when Trump and Hillary were officially made their party's respective candidates, it seemed like all rational people grew apathetic and let the polarization commence further.
We can't let this go on. We are entering the second year of Trump and our nation hasn't been more divided in decades. Rational people NEED to get off their asses and participate more. The loud minority will always drown out the silent majority, and we can't let that happen. The midterms are coming up. Don't just wait for the two parties to pick their candidates, GO OUT THERE AND PICK THEM YOURSELVES.
We can't let rationality die just because we feel demotivated and there are polarizing retards running in the spotlight. We have to get out of our hermit state and be willing to fight for rationality.
That's all for now. Thanks for reading my tired, sleepy ramble.
