Bible Text:the Acts. 6:12-15
And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon
him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,And set up false witnesses,
which said,This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy
place, and the law: For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall
destroy this place,and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.And
all that sat in the council, looking steadfastly on him, saw his face as it had been
the face of an angel.

Explanation

Stephen was arrested and brought to the council where a false witness had been set up
against him.Whilst the false witness testified against Stephen, all the council members
looked steadfastly on him seeing his face glowing like the face of an angel.This was the
glory of God shining all over Stephen. It is noteworthy that Stephen did not say a single
word, he just stood there, yet they saw the glory of God shine all over him.The fact that
the glory of God shone all over him was a clear indication that Stephen must have been
spending a lot of time in the place of prayer, fasting and in the study of God's word.
Generally, people can deduce the kind of person you are by your character and
behavior or by what you say. Our text states that ALL that sat in the council saw God's
glory.This means that EVERYONE, including your family members, colleagues at work
and your enemies will see God's glory all over you.The bible states in Matthew 7:20 that
by their fruits you shall know them, but in Stephen's case he had gone up a notch to the
extent that without knowing his personality or saying anything, they could see GOD's
glory shining all over him. This is where we all need to get to in our walk with God; a
place where those around us see the glory of God all over us at all times.To attain this
height in our walk with God, we need to develop a disciplined and consistent lifestyle of
fasting, prayer and the study of God's word, and in doing this, all men will surely see the
glory of God shine all over us in Jesus Name

Prayer

Father, I ask that YOU open my eyes to recognize the enemy within my organization that is
plotting my downfall in Jesus name. Father, I ask that YOU open my eyes to recognize
satanic agents that have been planted in my church, business and on my job, employed by
the devil to set traps for me; I declare they shall all be confounded in Jesus name. I declare
every plot set against me is neutralized in Jesus name. I declare every evil set against me
reverses upon the head of those planning the evil against me in Jesus name.
