THE "FIRE WALL" THAT DELIVERS PEOPLE

Friday, on the 16th of March seemed to be a normal day for most of us not until twilight started to invade the sky.

Around 5:30 in the afternoon, while i was busy teaching the concept about stage play, a student of mine suddenly came and calmly whispered that there was a huge fire going on right on the place where I am residing at. Upon hearing it, i immediately felt nervous and uncomfortable which i dont normally feel whenever i hear news like them. But by this time, I inevitably called my mom to verify the report. And when she finally picked up the phone after several tries, there was nothing i could hear from her except

"Go home... Fire".

Now, when i learned that, i immediately postpone the class as there were 2 students of mine who were also reportedly staying at that area.

When the three of us started to run ahead all the way to our place, we can now see from a far the huge fire slowly enveloping the sky. Based on our estimation, its closely near to our place. But when we reach to the place a mile away, there was immediately a great sigh of relief in me upon seeing that it's quite farther to my place. But the joy is definitely not complete when i learned that the houses of my two other students whom i ran along with are slowly being swallowed by the monstrous fire. With the overwhelming view, they immediately ran to their place without a care and bumping whoever people they met along the way.

When i reached home, I immediately saw my mother and sister in turmoil busy pulling out our belongings. There, character is being tested. How will you show such composure and maturity amidst overwhelming situations as that? Will you compromise and be overpowered by the cries and wailings of the people and eventually submit in defeat?

But the true "fire wall" inhabiting within starts to transfigure and did the game changer. Do you have a faith strong as a firewall where foundation is knittly laid and never gets shaken? Do you strongly believe that the Soveriegn Almighty will never abandon and forsake His beloved children? Then peace, security and worship will replace this feeling of pessimism. You will start to think right and act your ways with wisdom. You will become the light and order of their disarray thoughts and empower them to hope in this unimaginable situation.

Now, firemen started effectively putting the fire down. Young men stopped securing their own baggages and instead handing help to these firefighters. People of all ages silenced their hasty declaration of such calamity by believing that it will and instead hope and act the right way to be delivered from this ordeal. With this, the next sitio where there where
A huge number of people young and old is saved because of this "firewall" dividing and protecting the two vicinities.

When the smoke cease down, a great sight of human activity was seen. People spared from the fire caringly assisted the wounded people, a child giving bread to a fellow, a young man handing a glass of water to an elder and people willingly lending their extra clothes, money and house to the affected ones.

With this, the true 'fire wall' was seen and strengthen. People broke the snare of fear by resounding the foundation of FAITH and consuming the hearts of people in a strong camaraderie truly same of that FIREWALL...
