The Yamaha DTX400K is an affordable electronic drum kit especially for the beginner who are looking for a starter kit.

Introducing hardware of DTX Series

This is a five piece set up with industry standard tubular steel rack. It has two side poles (vertical) linked from a crossbar where it mount the two tom pads (first and second tom). The snare, hihat, third tom and the module have their own mounting arms.

The “L-shaped steel rods” brackets is to attach the hi-hat, crash and ride pads.
Rubberized compound drum pads were designed to be stick resilient but is sensitive to give good triggering response.

The hi-hat pedal is to use as common drum pedal that operates either open and closed. For kick pedal, the looks is identical to hi-hat pedal and the only differences comparing to a real drum pedal are without a beater and silent kick operation.

The module without display - comes with only 21 push button controls illuminate LEDs for selecting the options you require. My best advice - keep the manual close at your hand until you becomes familiar with the various options. This module comes with 10 kits pre-configured, 10 onboard tracks (play along features), 169 voices (23 snares, 21 kicks, 36 toms, 31 cymbals, 16 hi-hats, 42 percussions) & metronome.

The module comes with USB socket for connecting to an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch by using Yamaha Song Beat application (practice routines and has a huge range for you to play along features).
