Our Mental Future Depends on Our Mind Today

The brain is the integral part of human body, it functions and works in coordination with the other vital organs of the body. It is important to challenge our brain. However it is always nice to go home free from thinking important matters and relax for a while. For sure, most of us have the same feelings of stress and been mentally drain after long days of work. We tend to leave and feel free by doing nothing. Sometimes we really try hard not to think about anything that will be too much to think. Yup! That’s a good thing, but the mind functions well if you devote regular time in doing something that makes you think. Thinking and using our brain has numerous benefits to our mind over time. We often neglect the importance of having an active mind. Awareness of the need in challenging our mind more often could be the key in maintaining and achieving a healthy cognitive function throughout our lives . Now, is the time to take a careful study at the benefits of challenging our mind regularly so that we can see for ourselves what all it can do for us at all levels of our life. Our mind is full of surprises, we will never know what it can do for us in the long run.

How can we have an active and healthy mind? Quite tough but achievable for most of us who enjoys challenge and routines.

  1. The Need to Manage Our Memory
    To ensure that our memory is functioning properly, we need to routinely challenge our brain. Challenging our mind to memorize and attain a high caliber of memory is very useful when it comes. To do this we need to challenge and consistently involve our brain in remembering and recalling. Remembering and recalling are actually two good ways to challenge our brain fairly regularly. Writing, painting, or composing a masterpiece is good to manage our memory, but even in simple act of participating in a creative hobby can also help in managing our memory. Requiring an enough amount of activity from the mind that many other things don’t. This routines of challenging our mind is very beneficial and thus provide other benefits as well.

  2. Manage Stress Effectively by Building Reserves of Our Mind
    Our brain that is routinely put through challenging activities can build reserves that help fight and manage stress effectively. Oh, Yes..!indeed it is very challenging ,because we are putting another form of stress in our mind. However the controls are in our hands, that is the difference that we can turn off the cause of stress at any point and turn on to something that is positively impacting our mental health. When we are repeatedly expose to stress and constantly
    managing stress this will help us to be more mentally able and steady. When time comes to deal with the root of stress we can easily fight it and turn it off. In bigger impact, routinely and actively challenging our mind allow us to possess natural understandings on how best we can cope with stress ensuring our overall mental health. This is very vital at all stage of our life given how much of a negative impact stress can brought to our lives. That is why, it is best to get outside of our comfort zone. Learn and equip a new language or skill. Talk and interact to people with different beliefs, ideas, and principles. Learn and explore the world. This will challenge our mind and clear the way towards greater and better mental resilience.

  3. Be Mentally Healthy
    Good mental health is not a dream it can be achieve through better memory and stress management. The need to exercise constantly our brain and challenging it builds interconnections that will keep it working smoothly. As we age we need our brains to stay resilient and flexible to ensure that we get the optimum quality of life out of things. We fear mental deterioration associated with age begin to set in, nothing scares more when we forget how we build important memories in life. This fear tends to lead us in isolation and that doesn’t help in keeping our mental health up. Fear not the natural law of aging, we can always fight it not by isolation but with mutual connection with friends and love ones. We can be mentally healthy by learning new skills which can be done in classes. These not only help keep our mind challenged, but keep us socially active as well. Continue the long thread of connection and end up contributing even more for overall mental health and ensure life remains delightful. Our memory becomes a little less than perfect but we can always be happy, so put a smile in that face!

Reflection:
Challenging routinely our mind is probably one of the best things we can do for our mental health. It keeps us vibrantly alive by continually building mental resilience for the times when it would be otherwise tough to move forward. Its a thing of beauty that we challenge ourselves and facilitates smoother cognitive functions. This is a simple favor to remember always to do something that challenges our mind regularly. Think of it as an investment and the return of it is far beyond instant gratification that is our mental future!

I think brain should be quite healthy if one kills his ego,so that most of trouble sort out by their own.Is the size of brain of a person changes through out the life??
