Better your life with exercise
Nothing gives me a better feeling than seeing someone that's overweight trying to better their life. I used to have a BMI of 37 and was always tired. Until I decided to change my life. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but I stuck to it and my BMI is currently 28 and I feel so much better. It really only took 3 things.
First and most importantly I needed to change my diet. I was eating a honey bun for breakfast almost every day and my portion sizes for other meals were twice what they needed to be. So I went out and bought probably about 10 lbs of chicken and Turkey. I also bought a lot of whole grain rice. It was not the best but I had chicken, rice, and some sort of vegetable everyday for dinner. I ate oatmeal or yogurt for breakfast every day as well. It took a lot of work and I had a few bad days when I'd get a pizza or something but I still stuck to it the best I could.
Secondly, I needed to actually exercise. So I got a membership to planet fitness and tried to go as often as possible. I started at 3 days a week and gradually worked up to 5. I think the most difficult thing about going to the gym so overweight is all the people that look at you. You can just feel the eyes baring down on you. It's very difficult to feel comfortable but I was lucky and a random guy approached me and offered to help me. He was in great shape and I of course said yeah cause I didn't really know no what I was doing. So he made a workout for me and even worked out with me a few days a week. Having someone push me really helped me stick to it.
Finally, and very importantly, you must maintain it all. You can't just lose weight and then stop everything. You have to keep working out and giving it all you got. Today I feel so much better. I have more energy. I can play sports with my friends and going hiking and not get unbearably tired. If I could give advice it would be to just stick to it. Don't pay attention to the looks at the gym or the people laughing in public. I know it's hard but you need to do it for you. I did and have probably added 10 years to my life. :) you can do it. I believe in you and you should to. Go get your life back!
