The Diary Game: Have you ever work on Easter Sunday? Here is my experience: by ngwerast: 17/04/2022

Happy Easter Sunday to you all humble steemians. Welcome to another episode of my diary game which happened to be on Easter Sunday. In the following few paragraphs, I will be sharing with you how I spent my Easter day for this year 2022, and how i felt about it.
Morning session
I woke up this morning at 6.am, after my morning prayers , I played gospel music I was in the mood of dancing since it's a feasting day. While music was playing, I horridly entered the kitchen to cook njama njama and white yam to take to work, since Akwa-douala on Sundays is always very dry interms of food. The kitchen session took me about an hour. When I was done cooking, I cleaned, made up my bed and dashed into the bathroom to bath since I was running out of time. At about 7:10 a.m, I was done bathing and dressing up 👗, I dished out small yam and plenty of njama njama to eat for breakfast and dished out some to take to work too. After eating, I left for work. I arrived work alittle late, that is 8:10 a.m, and i immediately signed in and started working. The hall was pretty calm and boring because of many absentees and late comers.

Afternoon session
It was past mid-day and break time. I took my food into canteen and noticed we had ran out of aquavita drinkable water. So, I took out some cash from my bag and went to the nearest supermarket called "Superco" to buy supermont drinkable water. This is one of the reasons why I hate working on Sundays talkless of Easter Sunday. When I got back from the supermarket, it was already 1 pm so I went straight to eat. At about 1:40 p.m, I was done eating and when back to work.

Finally it was 5 pm and time to go home, unfortunately it started raining ☔heavily. I waited for about 45 mins and the rains ceased, so I left the work.

Evening session
My evening session wasn't really special. I arrived the house with a cup of icecream 🍨, warmed water, took my bath. After that I heat my food ate and decided to write my diary game for the day. See my icecream 🍨 below

Day evaluated per my feelings!!
I wasn't happy because due to work, I missed church service today plus the ambiance from church on Easter Sunday.
Honestly, working on Sundays has always been hard for me, it always like some kind of punishment to the staff. This is because psychologically, my Sundays are meant for early morning church service, visiting and resting. Most of us Christains understands that on Easter Sunday we go visiting families and friends to celebrate the feast of Easter with them. it was therefore difficult for me to spend the whole Easter day at work and home 🏘️ only. And it's more difficult when you work on Sunday and work on Monday which is suppose to be a new week. With all of these, You don't only start a new week with tiredness from the previous day, but it will seem as though you haven't change the week, which makes it hard to handle the rest of the days for that week.
I missed all the foods cooked by families and friends , especially those who had children for baptism today. "Na so I just take missed chop". 🍚🍜
Nonetheless, I can't blame a capitalist company, because it is out to make profits, plus that's what pay my bills. So no complaints!

If I may asked, I think every week you have an off day. So why have a problem with Sunday when you can catch up with your off day.

As for the yam and njama njama, I only put one yam because it was too early to eat heavy meal.🤗 If I had put more than one, I couldn't have finished it eventhough I love njama njama .
Yes, you are right. I have one day off within the week , I always wish to switch the off days with Sunday, but it's never possible. I truely hate Sundays work.🙈
However , as the saying goes "half bread is better than Chin Chin". Again, it's better to have the job than nothing, if not bills will kill me in this Douala.

Well I know Douala to be an expensive town, and to have an average comfortable life. You will need to be able to afford the bills, which you are smoothly doing.
I love working on Sunday, my reasons. It the most quite day of the week with less traffic, less noise, etc. Movement on Sunday are usually slow making work less hactic as compared to normal weekly working days.
I will bet you, on a normal weekly working day. You will not have the time to get water to drink 😂.
But ooooh, you didn't mentioned my own njama njama.
You see naa @fombae, the fact that it's quiet is the more reason I hate it. In Akwa Douala, working on Sundays is very dangerous because you can get rubb at anytime by nanga boys. Sunday is like their Monday work. They once ceased my bag with 5000f
plus my transport inside and they was no one to help me. I trekked a great distance so I could pay a bike with 100f I had in my pocked 😂.
Working on Sundays exclude from attending church service. However, if it has to do with working at home, or work with steemit platform, I good with it yaa.
As for your own njama njama, 🤣 I will keep in the deep fritzer, so you can get at anytime you wish. 💃
Okay, now security is what i hold with high esteem. Sóme of this guy just sit and wait for others to work and let them collect, some day the law will catch up on them.

I now see you, you eat your njama njama fresh, then put my own in he freezer so that it wil lose it taste eh.
Your punishment will be that, as soon as you take out the njama njama from the freezer for heating me. I will reject it so you have to prepare fresh one for me lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣@fombae! Why not just ask me to eat the one from the fridge and cook you fresh njama njama when you are ready to eat naa. I beg withdraw that punishment, I cannot be cooking twice yaa.🤗

Since women love to think over things, me let me think over it to see if the punishment need to be withdraw lol
