Thediarygame for 14/10/2023: Attending the Burial of the late father of my workout mate

Dear diary,

It is my pleasure to write you once again, telling you about the burial I attended just yesterday being Saturday, 14th of October, 2023.

As a member of a workout group known as Bodyphyx, we care for our members and we want to identify with them both in good times and in bad times. One of us in that group lost the father and the burial was slated to be yesterday.

As a group, we decided to sympathize with him. On that note, an arrangement was made for us as a group to be ably represented and I decided to be present.

this is the guy whose father died and I in one of the days we had our workouts. He sent me the picture via WhatsApp. He is a very nice guy who is very friendly and cares about the welfare of others.

So, when it was announced hat we should all support him, we all indicated interest to go.

Morning Activities

Hence, on the said day, I woke up very early to attend to my house chores because the departure time was to be by 11am.

I decided to make use of the local kitchen that I had a carpenter made for me so that I can at least boil hot water using local stove.

It is a practice in my locality to have a local kitchen where firewood fire will be made to boil water and other things. I had to construct mine. Both materials that was purchased and the workmanship of the carpenter cost 7900 naira and that is the equivalent of 53 steem.

So, from the last picture above, you can see my pot on that fire. That is water inside the pot. I was trying to boil bathing water there and it was so fast.

Remember that the cost of gas is more than doubled and ai, there is need to improvise. I am so happy that mine is ready. Apart from using the local stove, I will in the future add few chicken there to rare for personal use so as to provide meat for the family. In fact, it was this that gave rise to the kitchen. I had wanted to to construct their house but on a second thought, I decided to achieve 2 things at a time.

It didn't take long for the water to be ready, I boiled in 3 batches for everyone in the family.

Then a neighbor just saw me and said 👉 madam, congratulations for the triplets! I was surprised and I wondered why? He them told me that my plantain has started bearing fruits. 3 different bunches at a time. I didn't understand it. He asked that I come so he can show me the sign from the plantain tree that proves that it is about to bear fruit

I didn't have much experience about what shows that a plantain has started showing signs of bearing fruit. I only see it when the plantain is out already. Moreover, everyone was saying that the plantain has over stayed. That it was supposed that have started bearing fruits since. So I zeroed my mind and now, out of 5 trees, 4 is already set to bear fruit. Its amazing! I thanked him and went back to what I was doing.

It is interesting to also nite that my pawpaw tree has also started bearing fruits even at a tender age and size

I later got dressed for the burial when it was 10am and by 10:15am, I left the house to go and meet the people I that I will go with. On getting to the location where others were, we took a picture to send to our group so as to hurry others up to start coming out

As soon as others came, we began the journey to the place and by now, it was already past 12noon

Afternoon activities

We went with 2 vehicles of 2 of our members. We were 6 in number that went for it. On arrival,we noticed that we were already behind time. The corps was already going to be buried. But we're met our member whose father had died, took pictures with him and he gave us a place to seat down and wait to be served.

We were given drinks and later food

After that, we offered him the token that we had contributed to support him with as you can see in one of the pictures above.

Evening Activities

After spending like an 2 hours there, we left and they took us to a place where we had some drinks and eat meats. We spent about 2 hours there again before we went to our different houses. It was fun filled. We really had good times together as a group in the company of our coach

At home, I just freshened up, ensured that the family had their diner and I slept off.

Conclusion

This was how my day went dear diary. It was worth all efforts and I am glad that our friend was very happy about our group. Do you know that he even included our group name on the program?
