Manual curation/Upvotes On Real Accounts: Be Certain Of Who Your Account Is Upvoting

Hello dear Nigerians, trust you are all doing great? I welcome you all to this all important advice and awareness.

I came across this comment by SC01 in the screenshots below

You might have seen it or not but it is a call for all of us to be aware and alert.

The last time I wrote about fulfilling the social aspect of steemit here, we saw that one of the ways to do so is through upvotes. But sad to say that most steemians do not upvote publications on themselves. Most have joined some curation trails and even if they are upvoting publications on their own, still, the curation trail they must have joined may have been upvoting on their behalf.

While it is not bad to join curation trails, it is very important that we find out how are accounts are being used to curate publications and on which publications it is being used to upvote.

This is important because some curation trails do upvote some accounts that are not real and for whatever it is used for, we will still be the one to bear the responsibilities.

SC01 made that comment on the screenshots above because a user who wanted to receive upvotes on her dolphin post missed it because her account was being used to upvote non real accounts/publications and this has caused her her dolphin upvote which is very painful.

Avoid Such Mishap, Manually curate publications Or Join Curation Trails That Are Manually Curating

✓Check your account here and see the curation trail you are following

✓Be certain that the trail is upvoting real accounts/Publications

✓unfollow that trail if they are not upvoting real accounts/publications

✓Manually curate publications or accounts that are real and not fake and that are of quality. It is best to curate manually.

Publications You Can Upvote

✓Publications of users that publish steemexclusive contents

✓Steemexclusive publications

✓plagiarism free contents

✓Users who are real and are publishing good and quality contents.

It is true that upvotes are not guaranteed, but you must have to do your part by upvoting real accounts and supporting those trying their best to contribute to the growth of steem.

Those are also working hard to build their steem powers and those whose publications you found interesting.

As you do, your own publications will be located by others of like minds who will also help you grow through upvotes and who knows, the chief curators may likely appreciate your efforts by supporting your publications.
