CLUB75||Weekly Country Representative/ Greeter's Report (23rd to 29th August 2022) BY @NGOENYI

To do the right thing is everyone's obligation. To accept corrections is only for the humble and to keep up with your routine is for the brave.

Welcome to my report. It is by obligation to report my activities each week as a country representative for Nigeria. I have done some activities within the week and I hereby present them below.

Training Newbies

One of the things I said I was going to accomplish this past week was to join my fellow country representative (fredquantum) in training newbies in our telegram group that has 29 users as members and most are newbies. When the date of the training was fixed to be on Monday, 23rd August, I invited as many newbies as possible at the comment section of their posts to join and most joined.

I also took part in the training and what I handled were

• What is expected of me as an author? The best practices and types of articles that are accepted.

• Different ways to stay off any kind of abuse (plagiarism, self voting...) and how to avoid losing your account to scammers.

My colleague was the first to start with his own assigned topics and he introduced me. Below are screenshots of the first part I handled

When it was time, I was also introduced to handle the last part and at the end, those present were very grateful. I am glad to have done my part.

Activities With My Personal Account

• I have been actively supporting newbies and other Nigerians both online and offline. I replied to questions they ask, I guide them on their peculiar problems and encouraged them to keep active and improve on areas they need improvements which I had printed out to them.

• I have invited users to take part in the powerup contest I hosted and entries are coming in and I have been checking them. The essence of the contest is to encourage powerups especially to those whose steempower is less than 500 and I am going to give out delegation along with some sponsors.

My main aim is to get as many as possible to be active and to enjoy their steemit Journey.

I am also striving to grow my steempower to 50k sp and it is only remaining 1544 steem to get there.

I didn't publish much articles this week due to network challenges and device breakdown. But solution is in sight. This coming week will be better.

Greeter's/Curation With SC03 Report

Guiding newbies as a greeter in newcomers community has been my concern. Most of them I contact privately to advise them on any mistake they made on their Achievement posts and those I don't know personally, I guide at the comment section of their Achievement posts.

I check for plagiarism, I check for compliance with the club status, I check for identification images, I also check for compliance with publishing only one Achievement post for a particular level. It takes time to do this but am glad to be part of the team. For this past week, I verified and upvoted some Achievement posts that complied with the rules on the days I am assigned to do so.

I left massages at the comment sections of the Achievement posts that needs corrections and hopefully, once they comply, they will all be verified and given the appropriate labels.

• Guide the MODs and remind them of their activities.

I used the account to support mostly members who publish daily. Some are super active, hence they got more upvotes.

When the manner is still above 80% and there is no more publications in the community, I move round to support others instead of allowing wastages.

As Admin Of Steem4Nigeria community

• I take my turn with the week to select publications for booming and also make the post for the day.

• I noticed that most Nigerians who join the community have not been verified in newcommers community. I discussed with my fellow admins to give "verified ✓" labels to all in the community and "unverified " to those who have not so that they can do the needful. I started with it but I have not completed it.

Plans and Conclusion

• To keep encouraging my fellow Nigerians, guiding and responding to their questions.

• I am determined to increase the number of comments on their publications and to upvote more with my account

• Training of the newbies will continue but date is yet to be fixed. I will consult with my colleague

I will stick to the corrections I was given and even do more. Whoever is corrected is lucky because it makes for improvements and the one who gives corrections loves the receiver. I am much grateful. I am still open to more corrections. I don't mind how it comes and the penalties for it.
