Summer sunset a poem about my mom -by me

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

IMG_9759.PNGShe was as breath taking as a sunset
In her arms she would make me forget
I am so grateful for the day we met
It use to pour and pour for hours yet
The nights after work she’d come home wet
Never in her eyes did I see regret
She was my mother she never wept
All she ever did in life was accept
Anything her way whether it was a challenged or a bet
And when she had fallen ill all I did was wept
Here I am today remembering when she touched my head with a simple pet
Its her face and memories that I kept
After all she was as breathtaking as a summer sunset

This poem is so sweet and sounds as if your mum is no more with you? You wrote it yourself? I like it sooo much...
