Great Healthy Eating Poster That I Noticed At An Elementary School
Education about healthy eating is obviously very important. The reason that I like this poster so much is that it shows candy and fruits side by side. This hopefully illustrates the difference to younger students. It can be a nuanced difference for young children to distinguish candy and sweets from ‘sweet’ fruits such as berries.
Our culture has still a long way to go in terms of nutrition but this poster and other similar campaigns are at least getting the ball rolling.
Fruit is like the original candy. That is a smart poster. Its challenging to combat the shear quantity of junk food promotion that kids are exposed to. Campaigns like this are a small drop in an ocean compared to what they are up against. But it's a great start. I think the next generation will actually care about "real" and nutritious food. I think this would help inform kids. Nice find :)
