Week 54: #introduceyourself Curation Post

Another busy week on the road but the curation and onboarding efforts continue across the ecosystem. It seems as more members of the community are starting to conceive ways to improve onboarding as the latest changes have brought some more interest from content creators from other platforms here. As curation efforts and reward distribution seemingly looks like it is at a high point in our experiences, more users are wanting to learn and engage with communities to leverage these opportunities.

@jarvie was one of the members of the community which has taken a stab at creating an overview for new users to learn the many aspects of our ecosystem. In his video on the @peakmonster YouTube channel, he provides views from the simple to the advance ways of engaging with Steem. While it is a bit long, it provides a great resource for those joining in recent days as even those that we have shared in the past, have started to become outdated. I am looking forward for many more initiatives from the community like this to onboard and educate new users to continue the distribution of value and improvements in retention.

Cris or @otosclerosi is a young Italian that has shared his challenging journey with the community to encourage others to live free from addiction. His introduction went through his passion like reading, playing the harmonica, and video games! He looks forward to continuing enjoying the technology and sharing with the community more about his experiences.

@janicegogo is from China and recently introduced herself to the community with the help of a popular community member. She works far from her home and child because of the need to support them so often looks for ways to earn more to get back to them sooner than the typical 2 months.

Miranda or @a-dna-rim is from Texas and although she is a writer, tells us in her introduction that she is here to learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency and not to write much more then her ramblings along the journey. However, I think she has been able to capture some attention which many can use of learning about writing and blogging. She is a dog lover so what is not to enjoy about photos with dogs!

@walkwoman is a young lady from Taiwan that introduced herself with a number of great photos of the paths she crosses when enjoying walking and hiking among the diverse landscapes available in her region. She loves to experiment in her journeys and hope to share them as she learns her way around the ecosystem.

I hope this to be an evolving process to the benefit of the community so please continue providing feedback to support these and all the new users coming to the platform. I am looking forward to more new users coming and engaging with the community to solidify the social aspect of the #STEEM blockchain.
