How to Solve Discord App Not Connecting to Voice

Hello Steemians,

First A Brief Scope About Today's Topic

So yesterday ( 7th Jan 2018) which was curation Sunday for the Nigerian community was great.
We were all having a great time when the internet network began giving everybody issues.

So many of us were disconnected from voice automatically because of the poor network while others disconnected their-selves with the hope of reconnecting to the server since they were all hearing echos instead of the Host's voice.

It became a more sorry case when most of us could not go back to connect to voice as the button would not respond even after receiving a thousand hits.

This prompted me to try find a solution to this issue.

Software Needed

• Discord app
• any RAM Cleaner (e.g Avast Anti-Virus, Go Cleaner etc)
• Instead of a RAM Cleaner, you can basically just use your phone's settings

Tutorial Level

• Novice
  You don't have to be a pro on discord before you can initiate the steps in this tutorial.

Let's get Started

Try launching and joining a voice server first.
If you were disconnected because of bad network you can try reconnecting to the voice server.

If you notice joining a voice connection is impossible please go to the next step.

Close the app and go to your phone settings.

While in your phone settings, click on apps.

Scroll down to locate and click on Discord once you are under apps settings.

Click on force close/force stop to close the Discord app completely.

This action will free discord from the phone's RAM thus making it to load on a new sheet.

Now go to your discord app, launch it and connect to any active voice server of your choice.

Follow the steps above any time you find it difficult to join a voice server.

If you will prefer to use a RAM cleaner simply click on Free RAM and the problem will be fixed too.

Please Note: If you use the RAM Cleaner Method, Some RAM cleaners are programmed to "force close" all minimized apps instead individual apps.
meaning, all apps including discord will be "force closed".

Kindly consider this before using this method.
