About Space #4 (Mars) - Part 2
Mars has seasons!
Like Earth, Mars has seasons too! The only difference is in the duration. On Earth, each season lasts about four months, but on Mars, the spring lasts seven months, six months in the summer, 5.3 months in the autumn and four months in the winter.
First Image of Mars
On July 20, 1976, the first photo of Mars was shot by Viking 1 shortly after his landing. Viking missions were to shoot high-resolution photos from Mars surface as well as for the existence of life on the Red Planet.
The thoughts and theories of Giovanni Schiaparelli
In 1877 Giovanni Schiaparelli created the first map of Mars. This paper included both the solid element and the liquid, giving the impression that Mars had water! After years, NASA has confirmed this theory by saying that Mars actually had water and that crater McLaughlin billions of years ago was a lake. But over the years, Mars's water has evaporated, and now Mars became known as the "Red Planet¨.

You can read Mars Part 1, or about Moon and The Dark Side of The Moon. Also, you can read articles from my friend @katerinaramm about history, archaeology and science e.g. The Ring of the Legendary King Minos or The Walking Octopus who Uses Coconuts for Camouflage!
