What is Holopoint?
Holopoint is a very fast paced archery game designed and developed for VR Systems. You will be fighting your way through waves of samurai, ninjas and blocks with nothing but your trusty bow and arrow.
Holopoint is a defensive VR archery game that is optimised for the HTC Vive. You will be fully immersed while battling escalating difficulty waves of opponents while dodging the attacks they hand out. The game starts out with you in a dojo environment with blue cubes appearing around you. These cubes slowly turn orange and you must shoot them before they are too orange and explode.
Once the cube is hit or it explodes, it will shoot a missile at you which you must dodge before it hits you. You have two lives before the game ends. The game saves in increments of 5, so once you hit that wave, you will always be able to relaunch back to that wave.
As the game goes on you will start to battle different types of enemies and the waves will become much harder. Every 15 waves there is a boss that you will need too fight.
Once you hit wave 30 you will unlock the new area which is an outdoor open courtyard
My Opinion
I really do enjoy this game, not only is the game play very fast paced and enjoyable, but you also actually feel like you are there and have enemies coming straight towards you. The HTC Vive controllers work very well with the game, they vibrate when you draw the arrows which really make it feel as though you are pulling the string back on the bow. I really enjoy the graphics and how the enemies all look like holograms, it again really fits the scene of the dojo, making it seem like you are training your bow skills before you enter the big open world to let loose your arrows upon your foes. There is steam achievements as well that allow you to have something to work towards and show off to your friends. On the main menu, there is a leaderboard which you can compare your scores to your friends and everyone else that owns the game. If you own a Vive or get a chance to play this game, I recommend you do!
